Denise Wales

Denise Wales is an international development professional with 26 years of experience designing and delivering programs. She draws on her programs and operations experience to help organizations leverage people, perspectives and processes to identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement, and then manage that change to sustain operational excellence.

Currently, Denise advises on improving organizational policies, procedures and operations, delivers training to USAID staff and USAID implementing partners, and conducts gender audits.  Denise has worked at both the headquarters and field levels for non-profit and for-profit implementers. She has managed programs in Asia, Africa and Southeastern Europe and has served long-term assignments in Indonesia, Afghanistan, and Kosovo.  Denise was a US Peace Corps Volunteer in the Slovak Republic and holds a master’s degree in Public Management from the University of Maryland
